Molding makes any place feel finished.
In this house we spend less than 5 days.
It all begun with a visit from an experienced contractor/builder to one of the jobs we were finishing in West Palm Beach. The owner called him to ask for his professional opinion. In short the contractor wanted to be picky and point out mistakes, but he could not point out anything major. So good was the work that he hired us.
The caveat was that he wanted us to do his personal home at that moment under construction. and according to his schedule we only had 1 week to finish. The problem was that he wanted the entire house with crown molding, chair rail and wainscoting…. ready for faux finish, that meant completely finished painted and caulked.
We accepted the challenge. the job back then was $10000 plus materials.
Once we started he said that the faux finish artist was scheduled for Friday, giving us 4 days to finish. We sweat the whole 4 days. Wednesday we worked until midnight and Thursday well into Fridays morning 3AM.
Reluctant to pay, he asked us to rectify details. We did. He paid.
